current planned races

A friend of mine commits to races as a way to stay accountable to fitness goals. To some extant, I suppose I do too. Committing to a race can keep us excited and focused, gives us something to work toward; and for some of us, there’s an added sense of urgency when we’ve already put money down on a 5K, 10K, or half marathon.

He’s interested in committing to a Tough Mudder, and I’m game for doing that with him. It would give me motivation to inject some much-needed strength training into my weekly routine. That’s something I’ve been lacking. But I digress.

As of right now, this is my planned races for the next 12 months:

10K in September
Run For Him, Murfreesboro, TN, on Sep 1

10 mile in September
Bridge Run, Grand Rapids, MI, on Sep 16

Half Marathon in October
The Middle Half, Murfreesboro, TN, on Oct 13

Marathon in April 2019
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon, Nashville, TN, on Apr 27

25K in May 2019
Fifth Third River Bank Run, Grand Rapids, MI, on May May 11
